Start with the account that pays for YouTube TV

To cancel YouTube TV, start in the signed-in account that pays for the membership. The usual route is YouTube TV in a browser, then membership settings, where Google shows the current plan and available membership controls.

If YouTube TV is billed through Google Play, cancel it from Google Play subscriptions instead. If someone else in your household owns the family account, they may be the only person who can make the change.

Check whether cancel or pause is the better action

YouTube TV may offer cancellation and pause controls. Cancellation is for stopping the membership. Pause is useful when you expect to come back and want the membership to resume later.

Before you confirm, check:

  • which Google Account is signed in
  • whether your membership is direct with YouTube TV or billed through Google Play
  • the date your current paid access ends
  • whether recordings, add-ons, or family sharing settings matter to you

If YouTube TV is not listed

If YouTube TV does not appear where you expect, search your email for receipts from Google, YouTube TV, Apple, or a carrier bundle. Subscription cleanup often gets confusing because the app you watch in is not always the account that bills you.

It also helps to check old Google Accounts. A subscription can sit under a personal account while the TV app on your device is signed in somewhere else.

Before the next renewal catches you

Canceling YouTube TV handles one streaming bill. Orbit helps you keep the rest visible.

Add the subscriptions and bills you want to keep, see what renews next, and get reminders before free trials end or regular renewals are due. When you review your list, it is easier to spot streaming services you no longer use and cancel them before the next charge.

People like Orbit because it is focused: no full budgeting dashboard and no bank-link requirement, just a clear iPhone app for subscriptions, trials, bills, reminders, widgets, and calmer renewal decisions.
